Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams Break Up
Brokeback Mountain stars Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams have already broken up, according to Us Weekly.
Ledger and Williams have yet to confirm the breakup, but a source told Us Weekly that the couple, who started seeing each other while on the set of the Oscar-nominated movie in 2004, have “quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago”. Quietly is right, indeed. This is the first time we’ve heard about it.
The source added that “the relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart.”
That’s a relief. For a while there, I thought the sex scenes he had with Jake Gyllenhaal in Brokeback Mountain somehow had anything to do with it.
The couple have a 23-month-old daughter, Mathilda, and share a townhouse in Brooklyn.
