Jack Bauer may kill and torture with impunity on TV, but he could never get away with something as tame as drunk driving in real life.

TMZ says Kiefer Sutherland was busted for DUI—his second in five years—in West Hollywood last night, with more than twice the legal limit in his system. And it looks like he’ll be serving a minimum of five days in the slammer if and when he’s convicted according to California law.

Before he got pulled over for making an illegal U-turn, Sutherland was at the FOX Fall Eco-Casino party at Area nightclub, no doubt making himself drunk as a skunk. He was booked at the Hollywood Police station and was late released on $25,000 bail.

Sutherland, who is scheduled to face a judge on October 16, was said to be “cooperative and mellow” while in custody. Obviously, the one who told TMZ this doesn’t watch 24. I bet he was doing that so the cops would drop their guard, and when someone bends down to tell him something to his face, he’ll bite off a piece of his neck and escape, steal a cop’s gun and shoot everyone who gets in his way. Damn, I knew I’ve been watching too much 24.
