A check of the log of calls to Santa Monica’s 911 line pertaining to Owen Wilson’s hospitalization Sunday has confirmed that the actor has indeed tried to end his own life.

The log, first obtained by Extra TV, shows the 911 call was received on Sunday at 12:08:16 p.m. The incident was “cleared” almost five hours later at 5:07:16 p.m. The log doesn’t indicate who made the call Sunday, but lists “attempt suicide” as the reason for it. [Source]

Sources told The Post that the 38-year-old actor, who was listed in stable condition at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, was said to have tried to kill himself after a bitter quarrel with a very close friend, who remains unidentified. Reports say that the actor had an apparent pill overdose and slit his wrists as well.

Damn. Who would have thought someone who projects himself in public as a happy-go-lucky slacker type with no worries actually was messed up enough to try to kick his own bucket? And I thought I had problems.
