For the nth time, Britney Spears is dating a new dude!

According to Life & Style, Britney is seeing a guy named Michael Marchand, a waiter and aspiring actor who she met while he was waiting at an L.A. restaurant called Mirabelle, and they have the picture to prove it. “Michael came in a little after midnight, and she came in right after. They were being discreet. Forty-five minutes later, they left the restaurant together. He was charming – he made Britney laugh and looked at her with this secret smile. They left in separate cars.”

Life & Style reports in its new issue that Brit instantly fell for Michael when she was at Mirabelle in early November. “Their chemistry was immediate. He’s very turned on by her,” says an insider. Since then, the two had at least one date at Brit’s mansion. “They’re always texting each other,” says the insider.

When Life & Style asked him about their romance, he said, smiling, “I can’t talk about that right now.”

Of course he can’t be talking about it right now. It’s still way too early in the relationship, and he still hasn’t gathered enough dirt about Britney to sell to the tabloids and make oodles of money out of it.

OK, that was incredibly pessimistic. Honestly, we hope Britney finds happiness in her new man. And by happiness we mean this guy should be there for all of Britney’s orgies, drinking binges and stoned public appearances. That’s the key to making Britney happy. And oh, he should buy her lots of Cheetos too.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has just added his name to the list of celebrities arrested for being such a drunken mess, getting busted at a Dublin airport Sunday.

The Irish actor, who was London-bound, wasn’t allowed to board his plane because he was apparently behaving very badly. He was said to be displaying “erratic and abusive behavior”, getting all hot under the collar at an airport gate and at a desk of the British airline BMI. Cops were sent in and arrested Meyers and charged him with public drunkenness and breach of the peace. He was eventually released on bail, with the condition that he show up at a Dublin court on December 5 for his arraignment.

Obviously, his month-long stay at a California rehab clinic for drunks in April didn’t work. Apparently, very few of them do, if the track record of celebrities checking in for any sort of rehab is any indication.

Katharine McPhee, arguably the hottest American Idol finalist ever, is engaged to actor Nick Cokas, according to sources at People. Lucky bastard.

McPhee, 23, recently has been showing off a ring from Cokas, 42. They have been dating for more than a year.

“Katharine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.”

The 19-year age difference may be an issue or some people, but definitely not for McPhee, who says that “was never really a concern”. I guess that translates to “she loves old man meat”. Hopefully, she’ll have her lawyer, if she has one, draw up a prenup, because she’s the one with the career. And oh, she should also stock up on those little blue pills that give a guy long-lasting wood, because she knows damn well he’s gonna need them in ten years or so. Hell, he may be a Viagra junkie by now for all we know. He ought to be, considering the hotness that is Katharine McPhee.

People reports that “Grey’s Anatomy” star Ellen Pompeo has just quietly married her fiancé, record producer Chris Ivery, on Friday.

It was Pompeo’s dad Joseph who spilled the beans, saying that his daughter “just didn’t want a big thing”, hence the under-the-radar wedding, which was performed at City Hall in Lower Manhattan with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg serving as a witness.

After the wedding, the newlyweds were then reportedly seen at Madison Square Garden Sunday night taking in a Knicks game. The actress then left for Hollywood to resume work on her series.

Pompeo and Ivery, both 38, have been together since 2003, and got engaged in November.

The mother of rapper Kanye West has died after plastic surgery. This was confirmed by a spokesperson for Donda West, who died at Centinela Hospital in Marina del Rey “as the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure.”

It is not yet certain what cosmetic surgery procedure Donda had undergone, but rumors are flying around that she had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation done. The L.A. County coroner, reports TMZ, will conduct an investigation into the death of Donda West.

Kanye West may be a lot of things, but we really feel sorry for the guy. Losing a mother is more than bad enough. Losing her in that manner is definitely much, much worse. Our condolences.
